CONSUL GENERAL’S ACCREDITATION TO THE ORGANIZATION FOR ISLAMIC COOPERATION

The Consul General has been received today by the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen. This first fruitful meeting was also the chance for Mr. Stucci to present his accreditation letter as Italian Special Envoy to the Organization.
Many issues and themes for possible cooperation were tackled, including peace and security, contrast to terrorism and violent extremism, interreligious dialogue. A special focus was dedicated to possible joint education programs and scholarships for young students.
