4TH EDITION OF THE WEEK OF THE ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD

On the occasion of the 4th edition of the Week of the Italian cuisine in the world, the Consulate General of Italy in Jeddah has organized a number of events in the city, under a partnership with Danube Supermarkets. A variety of dinners, cooking classes and food tastings took place in Hotels, Restaurants, Supermarkets and Universities around the city. The theme of this 4th edition has been Recco’s “Focaccia col Formaggio” and the food tradition of Genoa and Liguria. Our guests of honour were the Head of the Association of Focaccia di Recco (Mr. Lucio Bernini) and two chefs from Recco’s traditional restaurants (Mr. Fabrizio Passano from Alfredo’s Restaurant and Mr. Umberto Squarzati from Vitturin Restaurant) and the actor Davide Quillico. The main event of the week was a “street food” night, when more than 300 guests have had the luck to try out the best of the Italian street food in 15 dedicated stations of our Italian and local partners.
